She is corvet of Jacinto class(Tatlong Bayani) class, aquired fron British Royal Navy in 1997 as Plover. Warship is named after Apolinario Mabini (1864-1903), who wrote the constitution for the first Philippine republic of 1899-1901, and served as its first prime minister in 1899.Armament: 1 × 76 mm Oto Melara Compact DP gun1 × 25 mm M242 Bushmaster on MSI Defence Seahawk mount2 × 20 mm Mk.16 cannons on Mk.68 mounts2 × .50 caliber machine guns
